Public Speaking

David HowesWithin months of starting his Rugby Football League career as Public Relations Officer, David Howes realised that public speaking was to become a key part of his professional life.

He became the front man for the League on television and radio, on stage with the 100 Sunday Mirror Roadshows, which he devised, and at fund raising dinners. His speaking attributes expanded to both guest speaker and compere duties.

Since forming Howes Etc in November 2002, he has continued to offer his complimentary services to charities and player’s benefits/testimonials.

In addition he has been booked through speaking agencies for a number of events including Rugby Union and Rugby League club events and organisations of the calibre of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, the Rotary Club of Wakefield and the Sheffield Welding and Joining Association.

Howes combines a cutting sense of humour with recollections from his world of Rugby League, including tours Down Under.
