Howes Etc is a limited company formed in the autumn of 2002 by Managing Director David Howes, who recently celebrated 30 years of top-flight sports management.
Renowned as one of the most professional and personable sports administrators, Howes has the unique track record of performing with a central governing body, The Rugby Football League; a leading Rugby League club, St. Helens RLFC; and one of the world’s heritage sporting venues, Headingley Stadium in Leeds.
Three decades of experience at international and domestic level have been highlighted by national team management, staging of major events, sponsorship recruitment and servicing, club management as Chief Executive, stadium administration and development as Managing Director, media liaison and after-dinner duties as speaker and compere.

Rapidly established as one of the two leading Rugby League management agencies, while passing the stringent FIFA examination to be registered as an official FA players’ agent.
The 13-a-side player portfolio is headed by Gareth Ellis, successfully transplanted into the highly competitive NRL on a three-year deal with Wests Tigers, being named the club’s Player of the Year, featuring in all the 2009 International X111 selections and nominated as Dally M second row player of the year.
Ellis was one of five clients in the England side which reached the final of the Gillette Four Nations in the autumn of 2009, the others being Shaun Briscoe and Peter Fox (Hull KR), Eorl Crabtree (Huddersfield Giants) and Michael Shenton (Castleford Tigers).

Newly-appointed sports consultant for Ticketsolve, the Dublin-based venue ticketing solutions company. For five seasons through to 2009, was co-host of a twice-weekly Rugby League phone-in programme on Real Radio. Publication projects include mounting the publicity campaign for Barrie McDermott’s autobiography and top Rugby League photographer Andrew Varley’s 25th anniversary album.
Howes Etc is the leading Rugby League event management company in the UK. Having successfully staged official RFL supporters tours, in partnership with the RFL’s official travel specialists Traveleads, for the 2006 Tri-Nations in Australia and New Zealand (OZ06) and the 2008 World Cup in Australia (OZ08), bookings are already being taken for OZ10 for the 2010 Four-Nations Tournament in Australia and New Zealand. For the sixth successive year, the Grand Final at Chesters event will be staged at Chesters Hotel, two minutes walk from Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, with the 2010 engage Grand Final being staged on Saturday 2nd October.
